Deep Soil Mixing continues expansion with new office in Belfast
The unveiling of a new office this September marks continued growth for Deep Soil Mixing Ltd, the specialist ground remediation and soil stabilisation contractor who has opened an office at College House, Citylink Business Park, Belfast and has seen their turnover double in the last twelve months.
The Belfast office is the second new office for the company in the last 12 months following the opening of a research and development base in Staffordshire, England in May this year.
The latest office will be located in the heart of Belfast, to strengthen and expand on their already very strong presence in Northern Ireland having undertaken several soil stabilisation projects across Northern Ireland over the last five years including projects in Dromore, Downpatrick, Derry/Londonderry and R&D work with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and Queens University, Belfast.
To mark the opening of the Belfast office, Colin Critchlow Deep Soil Mixing Director will be speaking at the Northern Ireland Geotechnical Group Seminar on Soil Stabilisation; Design & Application at Queens University, Belfast on 6 September.

Soil mixing is an environmentally friendly civil engineering solution that can reduce projects costs, project time and carbon footprint compared to other more traditional ground engineering methods such as various types of piling, excavate and cart away, dynamic compaction, surcharge etc as there is no need to excavate, there is minimal spoil removal, a wider range of soils can be treated compared to other solutions, and there is no need to bring costly and bulky materials on site and with government pressure calling for a 50% reduction in construction excavation waste being sent to landfill. Soil Mixing would help to meet these targets.
