Deep Soil Mixing Managing Director Robert McGall recently presented a paper on soil mixing at Grouting 17 organised by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in Honolulu. His talk on soil mixing and soil remediation generated a lot of interest and discussion. Robert’s speech centered around Single Column Mixing with the innovative Double Rotary Mixing Head which was developed by Robert McGall for soil mixing and has been successfully used on a variety of soil stabilisation projects across the UK.
Conference Chair Michael J. Byle, P.E., D.GE, F.ASCE said about Grouting 17 “On behalf of the conference program committee, I welcome you to one of the most unique and valuable conferences in the world of grouting. This conference continues the series of grouting conferences, held every ten years in New Orleans since 1982 that has always attracted the best and brightest of the grouting world.
Geo-technical grouting has always been fertile ground for innovation and these conferences have provided a medium for communication of innovation that has planted the seeds for advancement of grouting technology. Advances in materials, electronics, instrumentation, digital processing and modeling have accelerated the rate of innovation in grouting and related technologies to the point where conferences once every ten years are not enough. Accordingly, the fifth in the series of grouting conferences shortens the interval to 5 years and promises to be the best yet.
Grouting 2017 includes outstanding keynote speakers and nearly 130 technical presentations that will bring you up to speed on the latest in grouting, deep mixing, and diaphragm walls. As always, the exhibit hall will be a central point for networking with other attendees and exhibitors from around the world eager to provide you with the latest information on equipment, materials, and services. There is nowhere
else that you can find this concentration of knowledge and information specifically related to grouting, deep mixing, and diaphragm walls all in one place.”
